Dilara's Dream

Dilara is thirteen years old living in Swapnopur. Her poor parents have two other little children. It is hard for her illiterate parents to earn enough to run the family well. Dilara hopes to bring about a change to her family by receiving higher education. So she studies regularly and works hard every day.

Her parents wanted her to help with household work, but Dilara requested them to let her continue her study. A kind teacher noticed her talent and encouraged her. The teacher also gave her books and helped her with lessons after school.

Dilara passed every examination with good marks. She taught younger children in the village to earn a little money for her study. Many people praised her determination. After some years, she got a scholarship and completed higher education.

Finally, Dilara became a teacher. She helped her family and inspired many poor girls in her village to go to school. Her life proved that education can change a person's future.

After a few months, the weather of the island changed. The heat became unbearable and there was less rain. The soil became loose and dry. When a strong storm came, there were no trees to protect the island.

The storm damaged the king's new palace badly. Many houses were also destroyed. The people became angry and sad. Then the king understood his mistake.

He ordered everyone to plant trees again. He also promised never to destroy nature for his own pride. From then on, the people of the island protected trees carefully.
